Accurate Apple Prediction of the Day: Yesterday, Apple announced Siri, a voice-recognition-powered personal assistant for the iPhone 4S. Back in 1987, an Apple video envisioned something very similar: “Knowledge Navigator,” a theoretical personal assistant for a touchscreen tablet.

Based on clues in the 24-year-old video, it’s set on September 16th, 2011. That’s less than a month short of the Siri announcement.

Siri doesn’t have all of the capabilities of Knowledge Navigator, but the idea — speaking to an app in natural language to look up information and schedule reminders — is almost exactly the same.

Does Apple have a prototype time machine they’re not telling us about?

I’m not disappointed with Apple for not announcing the iPhone 5. I’m thrilled with Apple because I’m gonna be getting the iOS 5 upgrade without a side of jealousy. I know it’s mainly going to be upgraded to do tasks that android phones can do, but these tasks are now perfected!

as I’m keeping up with the liveblog of the Apple Conference, I’m online shopping.

let me tell you all that I’m one of those online shoppers who looks at things for quite some time, add it to my cart, and then come back to it a day or two later…most likely to never buy it.

what is up with that? I can’t stand to see my bank account drop.

lol.

Back to Apple, I really want to buy a macbook for myself. But then if you refer to what I just said about my bank account….I haven’t gotten the balls to do so.

Apple just introduced the iphone 4S. Nothing too major I don’t think. The iOS 5 does come out October 12th though. Hopefully that is something pretty neat :)
